Contemporary theatrical play
Violence against women is a daily phenomeno that concerns all of us. “Wolf-wolf you are” is a play that is a voice of awareness against violence. It is an original Cypriot play that carries memories of heinous crimes against women. A cruel text but real. A monologue that aims to awaken and shake that sends its message directly. It is not a fairy tale. It is the reality of many women. A reality that is not easy to face but must be faced. A story that has been heard from the mouths of many women over the years, but is still hidden in many more who are afraid to open up. The truth, however, ALWAYS needs to be heard.

In this particular case our audience is in their car and our protagonist is also in her car. I think it’s a special experience for the audience because they automatically become part of the performance. They have the ability to listen and control the sound of the performance, they have the ability to turn me off even to stop listening to me, they have the ability to get out of the car to come and sit in mine, they can do whatever they want, however they feel. We give our audience the opportunity to react and that’s what we want to convey as a message to society: that this is our reality, this is the harsh reality and that it’s good to react sometimes.
