Some people are afraid of loss. Others are afraid of heights. Others fear airplanes and others fear needles. Others are afraid of very beautiful women.
There are hundreds of phobias. Some people are afraid of love. As soon as they get close and realize it they start running in panic to save themselves. They break up and disappear. But in reality they run away to hide from themselves. And then they celebrate that they’ve been saved for another day. And then they are left alone in their house to fill their heads with alcohol and sleep with the bottle in their arms. They have fleeting relationships that take them nowhere. They march alone in this life. They buy dry sex and liken it to fast food. There is no love in their lives because there is fear. The professor is one of them, but there are others. They live among us.
But this girl named Valia, who enters this man’s life, knows no rules. She dares to rock the boat. She gives his dreamy miserable world a kick, shatters it and tells him to look up to the sky. This girl is the light. She is the present.
