For the 6th year in a row the theatrical festival ANTI-SKINO took place at the outdoor community park of Kato Pyrgos Tilliria.

Even more upgraded, this year’s event took place from Friday 26 to Saturday 27 August, unfolding a programme with 11 suggestions and with the participation of 25 artists.

Enthusiastic visitors and locals attended the activities of an event that combines nature and art.

This year’s festival consisted of plays, performances, open discussions, music, poetic narratives accompanied by music, theatrical monologues and musical improvisations. At the same time, and proudly, we have given a platform to new groups and independent productions where we were introduced to them through their work. Actors and spectators joined, giving space and freedom to discussions, exchange of views, ideas, emotions and anything else that is effortlessly generated with our festival as an inspiration. In addition, this year for the first time in collaboration with ACCEPT LGBTI Cyprus, a platform and voice was given to people of the community through performances, stand up, open lecture on the theme of “stereotypes in the theatre” which aimed to inform and enhance their acceptance by the Cypriot society.

It is very important to mention the visit of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Mr. Yannis Toumazis, during the first day of the festival where we had the opportunity to discuss with him and watch the wonderful organization of the festival.

The unique experience of ANTI-SKINO, with the theatrical experience unfolding by the waves from morning until late at night, delighted the audience that attended an original and beyond expectations successful event. The applause was warm and the goal of the coexistence of nature and culture was achieved.
